Siminalayi Fubara, the governor of Rivers, says nothing will stop the local government election in the state from being held.
He was speaking when he visited the office of the Rivers State Independent Electoral Commission (RISEC) in Port Harcourt, the state capital over the barricade of the facility where electoral materials by police operatives.
The governor dared anyone to try and scuttle the elections, vowing that he will provide his own security.

Security operatives who were at the RISEC office departed shortly after Fubara arrived at the building in the company of some lawmakers and government officials.
